On November 16th, one week before the release of The Muppets, Archaia Comics has a very special treat in store for Jim Henson fans. A Tale of Sand was a movie screenplay written by Henson that was never used and became “lost”, but Archaia has gone through a great deal of work to bring the story to life and translate it to the comic medium.

Test pilot for a Wizard of Id TV series from Jim Henson

In the late 60s, Jim Henson made this test pilot for a possible TV series version of the comic strip The Wizard of Id. As with everything Henson, I love the character designs, but that doesn’t make the comic strip jokes any less lame.
